Collection: Jessica Masters

As an artist, Jessica's inspiration stems from their own experiences - everyday things that demand a visual interpretation. Though personal, their artwork strives to articulate images in a way that allows viewers to attach their own stories to them. The goal is to touch on subjects and experiences that bring forth a memory or a feeling, connecting the viewer with the image. "With each subject, I try to capture an atmosphere through the color and light, in an attempt to push the image toward a deeper meaning about human nature." They received an honors degree in Fine Art from the University of Guelph and have worked as a professional artist in both soft pastel and oil paint for 27 years. Classes in both mediums are taught from their studio in Guelph, ON. For the past six years, they have been a member of the Pastel Artists of Canada and have been awarded Master Pastelist status. Their work is held in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
