Dave Barrer

Collection: Dave Barrer

Having designed over 50 magazine covers reaching millions, Dave’s body of work has struck a balance between noteworthy commissioned work and stunning original art. Shown in prestigious locations like Ottawa’s Parliament Buildings and Toronto’s Queens Park, his work includes commissions from the Canadian Military, non-profit organizations, and historical community facades.

Dave’s teenage years were spent guiding voyager routes on the Mattawa/Ottawa River system, which seeded a deep connection with Canada’s natural beauty. This bond translates into his towering Monumental Landscapes, lovingly created through a unique process.

“I use custom aluminum panels, developing an eggshell tooth finish for the perfect texture. Under-painted in Canada red, the pictures emerge in bold bright colors, I break the colours apart, blending an interwoven lace of that Canadian hue until they dance in harmony”.
