Collection: Douglas Edwards

Every year Douglas Edwards spends his time going to art colonies in different countries to paint with artists from all over the world in places such as Kazakhstan, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Russia, Crimea, Romania and Turkey.

He has spent his life painting and was asked to do school Christmas cards and other projects during his school years, eventually graduating from Ontario College of Art and Design. Wanting to learn more classical techniques like impressionism, he also studied at the Acadamia De Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. He has held exhibitions in Italy, Sweden, England and Japan before returning to Canada.

Back in Canada, he has taught courses in life drawing, portraiture and landscape at Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, Sheridan College in Oakville, the Leighton Foundation in Alberta  and various other schools and academies.
