Holly Dyrland

Collection: Holly Dyrland

Holly is a self-taught artist who has been pursuing her career in art since 2010. Her passion for art was ignited by her Grandmother who was a painter. After achieving her degree in Interior Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Holly started exploring acrylics. She is greatly influenced by artists such as David Langevin, Min Ma, and Robert Genn who leave visible brushstroke and have distinct techniques in their work. Holly's work celebrates the living landscape, particularly the big open skies, fields, lakes, and mountains of rural Alberta. She desires to capture the heart and soul of her subjects, using glazes and veils to add depth, light, and translucency to her work. Holly's paintings have won awards, been juried into international shows, and featured in media coverage (both TV and online magazine). They are also included in private collections around the world.
