Adele Webster's work is rooted in graphic arts training and a constant endeavour to simplify images to their most basic form. They strive to capture nature's landscapes and cloudscapes in a peaceful and joyous way, utilizing their love of colour and unique contemporary style. The goal is to evoke a dream-like memory and provide a sense of calm for the viewer as they escape into the minimalist vistas. The artist layers washes of diluted acrylic paint on birch panels, allowing the colours to settle into the layer below and dry overnight. Each day brings new surprises as they enter the studio to see what magic has taken place.
